It seemed like the 70's had a lot of different kinds of music going on all at once. I remember band/chorus bus trips where various 'groups' brought their radios/tape players and would take turns turning up the volume on their faves to drown out the others...classic rock vs. disco vs. pop. I couldn't decide at the time which I liked the best...but now that I'm older...if I hear a disco song come over the radio, I can't change it fast enuff. It had it's place and time and seemed to be something that could morph into another type of music. I think the worst stuff I've ever heard, tho, is techno-pop. To each their own...but it hurts my ears!

Scratchy! Just popping in for some funk again.
The Loggins - Messina tour came through here a couple
years ago and from our seats... we saw what could only
be classified as "the super fan" down in front. You know,
the guy who cued musicians, conducted the tempos, and sported
a hairdo all while under the influence... and the love of the music.
That night we realized a misspent youth looks like a huge success
compared to a misspent middle age.

Much love to you Scratch
